In-situ painting, on the contrary to that carried out in specifically designed areas with suitable application conditions, depends on several variables. The selection of the means of application, the surrounding environment, the materials to be used, the dimensions of the items and the difficulty in reaching the area of application, are just a few of the issues to be studied before carrying out the activities.
These points must also be taken into consideration with the parameters that influence the actual application of the cycle, such as:

  • type of paint (resin, gloss, colour);
  • specified dry thickness;
  • paint viscosity;
  • temperature and relative humidity of application;
  • dry residue of paint;
  • characteristics of the means of application (roller, brush).

Using its experience and the skills of its Engineering Department, the company is able to prepare painting cycles which consider all the variables described and then perform the application, providing the Client with the necessary guarantees of the anti-corrosion protection.

 

In order to avoid the dispersion into the area of paint particles, use will be made, for example, in the case of large components, of rollers or brushes; in order to achieve a better quality finish, airless application will be adopted, keeping the components inside sheets.
Depending on the aggressive nature of the environment, the treatment will use several coats of paint which have anticorrosive properties (primer), in less aggressive environments, only one coat will be applied, followed by the top coat.
